IEC statement on Conflict Minerals
ADD:Home > NEWS > IEC statement on Conflict Minerals

IEC has been adhering to the global social responsibility as our goal, the implementation of ethical procurement, to promote the sustainable development of the industrial chain.

The term "conflict minerals" refers to minerals such as tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold that originate in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and its surrounding countries and whose sale may provide financial support for the ongoing armed conflicts in those countries. The IEC attaches great importance to the issue of conflict minerals and has taken action to address it.

The issue of conflict minerals, which has received widespread attention in the electronics and other industries, is extremely complex and requires the commitment and cooperation of business, government and non-governmental organizations to resolve. IEC does not purchase or support the use of conflict minerals, and requires all suppliers not to purchase conflict minerals. IEC also requires suppliers to extend this requirement to sub-suppliers.

IEC supports industry collaboration to address supply chain social responsibility issues. We will work with customers and suppliers to find sustainable solutions to address conflict minerals issues.
